Resetting the pace, ambition and quite of the multilateral climate action

Following my intense insight into the United Nation climate process, as a negotiator within the UK delegation for COP26 & 27, I’m holding the door open and working from another angle. Building on past experiences and lessons, my ambition for this year is to provide some thoughtful impetus into the negotiations and surrounding space ahead of COP28 in the United Arab Emirates.

I will be focussing my energies on the forward looking finance piece, particularly the New Collective Quantified Goal and Article 2.1(c). Alongside the Global Stocktake and Just-Transition work-programme.
